A female-owned independent bookstore is slated to open in Ankeny this April.

A female-owned independent bookstore is slated to open in Ankeny this April. Owner Mary Rork-Watson will open Plot Twist Bookstore at 502 N. Ankeny Blvd. “Whenever I attend chamber events or talk about my plans, people have been very excited about the store coming to the community,” said Rork-Watson. The store will feature new books for all ages, gifts for readers and host community events.
