Finalists named by Grand View University in new president search
Grand View University in Des Moines recently announced four finalists in its presidential search. The final candidates to be Grand View’s 14th president are: Jody Stanton Fournier, currently the provost and vice president of learning and a tenured psychology professor at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio; Elizabeth Frombgen, vice president for academic affairs and dean at Thiel College in Greenville, Pa.; Rachelle Keck, president of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City; and Daniel J. Shipp, vice chancellor for strategic initiatives and associate to the chancellor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. The finalists will visit the Grand View campus over the next two weeks for a series of meetings with faculty, staff, university leadership, students and the board of trustees. The board expects to announce the selection of the next president in early March. The new president will succeed Kent Henning, who announced in August 2021 that he will retire at the end of the current academic year. Founded in 1896, the liberal arts college on Des Moines’ east side has approximately 2,000 students.
