Seven businesses have been selected as finalists in the 2012 John Pappajohn Iowa Business Plan Competition.

The businesses continuing in the competition are Corvida Medical; Data2Bio; FxRedux; Iowa Powder Atomization Technologies; Mockwall; Osteoceramics; and Pathovacs.

Each of the finalists will interview with a panel of judges on Sept. 6, who will then choose the three finalists.

The finalists will be recognized at a special awards ceremony on Sept. 27 at Drake University. Winners will also receive a cash prize  for their business plans: $25,000 for first prize, $15,000 for second and $10,000 for third
