Foam Carwash Express in Urbandale has been acquired by Champion Xpress Carwash, launching Champion’s entrance into the Des Moines-area market and its third location in Iowa. According to a news release, Champion Xpress Carwash is a family-owned and -operated business with thousands of plan members. The company plans to add more locations in Iowa, the release states. “We have been impressed with the values that Foam Carwash Express hold and look forward to continuing to serve the Urbandale community with the highest standard they have come to expect,” Michael Murry, CEO of Champion Xpress Carwash, said in the release. “The Foam Carwash Express acquisition is critical to our strategic plan to expand and grow in the Iowa market.” The Foam Carwash site will be integrated into the Champion brand with changes being made over the coming months. David Miller, president of family-owned Foam Carwash Express, said Champion has the same values and will provide Foam Carwash employees with more opportunities for personal and career growth. Champion Xpress has 18 locations in Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. The company has a goal of expanding to more than 50 locations by 2023.
