Cynthia Eisenhauer, former chief of staff for Gov. Tom Vilsack, and Susan Voss, a longtime Iowa insurance commissioner who is now vice president and general counsel for American Enterprise Group, are among the final appointees of the Polk County Board of Supervisors to the Iowa Events Center Hotel Corp., the nonprofit organization that will own and operate a proposed convention center hotel in Des Moines. Mike Galloway, an attorney who specializes in public-sector and employment law with Ahlers & Cooney P.C., and Adam Kaduce, who is director of commercial real estate for R&R Realty Group, will round out the five county appointments to the IEC Hotel Corp. The board will vote on the appointments Tuesday after previously designating Knapp Properties Inc. President and CEO Gerry Neugent as the original IEC Hotel Corp. director. The Des Moines City Council will vote Monday on the appointment of Grant Friesth, senior vice president for commercial lending at Wells Fargo Bank. He would join former city finance director and deputy city manager Allen McKinley as the two Des Moines appointments to the seven-member board. The IEC Hotel Corp. has five members appointed by the county and two by the city.
