Four champions of LGBTQ community honored at Capital City Pride event
Capital City Pride honored four champions of Central Iowa’s LGBTQ community at its annual Pride Gala and Award ceremony last month. Individuals recognized were Destinee Woodris, Chanelle Rosé and Vivette Perry for their work in the community to uplift and support LGBTQ individuals. The organization also recognized F&G with the Company of the Year award. Capital City Pride has produced events to commemorate and celebrate the Greater Des Moines LGBTQ community for 44 years, according to its website.
