Fundraising professionals announce Philanthropy Day award winners

Among the group of community leaders chosen was Joyce Chapman, a past Sages Over 70 honoree, for Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser. Other winners included: Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy – Large Business: Wells Fargo, Des Moines; Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy – Small Business: McGill Junge Wealth Management, Urbandale; Youth in Philanthropy: Caroly Coronado Vargas, Des Moines; Spirit of Philanthropy: dsmHack, Des Moines. The Philanthropy Day awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Central Iowa through their many generous contributions. The winning individuals and organizations will be recognized on Nov. 13 during the 35th Annual Philanthropy Day event. Due to COVID-19, this year’s event will be celebrated in a virtual format.
