In cooperation with other community leaders, the Community Foundation of Marshall County has established the Rebuild Marshalltown Fund to provide an opportunity to give to support long-term rebuilding efforts as the community recovers from the July 19 tornado and severe storms. At the latest count, more than 800 residences and businesses have been affected, including more than 270 with major damage and 45 homes and businesses destroyed. Those interested in donating to the Rebuild Marshalltown Fund can give online or checks can be mailed to: Community Foundation of Marshall County, 11 N. First Ave., Marshalltown, IA 50158. Also, the UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown Foundation has established an employee assistance fund for its team members directly affected by storm damage. Donations are being accepted through the UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown Hospital Foundation website.
