Registrations for this year’s Future Ready Iowa Summit featuring retired Iowa-born astronaut Peggy Whitson now will be accepted until 10 a.m. April 23. The public event will be April 30 at the Iowa Events Center. Appearing in addition to Whitson will be Pallavi Verma, senior managing director, U.S.-Midwest, for Accenture. Gov. Kim Reynolds will announce the names of six high-poverty elementary schools that each will receive a $50,000 grant through the Computer Science is Elementary Project.
