Gannon Real Estate inspired farm history project receives grant

84 wordsAg and Environment, Real Estate and DevelopmentHumanities Iowa, a state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, has awarded $2,500 to the Family Farm History Foundation, a nonprofit that represents the efforts of Mark and Patrick Gannon of Gannon Real Estate in Des Moines to preserve photographs of century and heritage farms. The grant will help defray the expense of scanning and making digital copies of more than 18,000 photos of Iowa farm life. The Gannons also hope to develop an online application for the Family Farm History Foundation.
