The first class of Girls With Goals Fund grant recipients goes to six Iowa nonprofits supporting youth services, Women Lead Change announced this week. Grant recipients Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids & East Central Iowa, Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, Girls on the Run of Eastern Iowa, Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa, Junior League of the Quad Cities Inc. and YMCA of Greater Des Moines/Girls on the Run of Central Iowa each support missions to ensure girls in grades K-8 have an opportunity to gain critical skills as they grow into leaders. Grant recipients will be recognized at the Power Ladies Lunch on Wednesday at the DoubleTree Convention Complex in Cedar Rapids.
