Google looks to add satellite antennas to Council Bluffs data center
Google Fiber Inc., a Google Inc. subsidiary, wants permission to place satellite antennas on land near its Council Bluffs data center, Data Center Knowledge.com reported.
The website, which provides news and analysis on the data center industry, said the antennas could be used to receive content feeds from broadcast networks that could be bundled with a high-speed fiber service.
The satellites would provide analog and digital audio, data and video services, the site said.
