Milwaukee-based Adelman Travel Group will buy Great Southern Travel, which has an office in West Des Moines, effective Nov. 30. Great Southern Travel is an arm of Springfield, Mo.-based Great Southern Bank, which has banking offices in Ankeny, Johnston and West Des Moines. According to a news release, the deal with Adelman Travel includes all Great Southern Travel employees and an office at 6260 Mills Civic Parkway. The purchase will not cause disruptions for customers, the release said. Great Southern Bank is selling the travel business to focus on its core banking operations.
