Greater Des Moines house sales post big gain in May

70 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentHouse sales spiked 26 percent in May from a year ago, according to a report today from the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors. The 1,347 houses that were sold last month were on the market an average of 71 days, down from 84 in April and 87 in May 2014. The median price increased nearly $10,000. Pending sales also increased in May to 1,509 from 1,226 in May 2014.
