Greater Des Moines in a ‘fast paced’ housing market

104 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentGreater Des Moines house sales were up and both inventory and the number of days a house was on the market before selling dropped in February, creating what the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors described as a “fast paced market.” House sales increased to 639 from 567 in January and 533 in February 2014, the association said in a release. Pending sales also were up in February, to 1,004 from 886 in January. The average sales price was $154,959, up from $152,000 in January. The number of days a house was on the market dropped to 87 and inventory declined to 3,223 properties.
