Greater Des Moines lands national cities meeting

153 wordsAll Latest News, Business Community Events, Economic DevelopmentGreater Des Moines will host the CEOs for Cities Spring 2016 National City Cluster Workshop.
The event will be June 26-28 in downtown Des Moines and will feature interactive workshops and activities that will focus on how cities and regions can look for opportunities to invest in their futures in collaboration that crosses disciplines, generations and borders.
Greater Des Moines Partnership CEO Jay Byers said the event, with a theme of “The Crossroads City,” will showcase the area. The event has been held in Cleveland and Pittsburgh in recent years.
The Greater Des Moines event is expected to draw more than 200 leaders from up to 35 markets. The Des Moines Arts Festival will be happening at the same time.
“Having attended CEOs for Cities events, I know that this is will be an extremely valuable experience for our out-of-town guests,” said Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines President Kristi Knous.
