The Greater Des Moines Partnership and Tallo, a platform that connects students with career opportunities, will host a virtual event allowing Iowa high school students to explore IT and technology careers. Representatives from DMACC and Iowa State University will share about the two and four-year pathways to technology careers, while Amazon and Microsoft will attend to discuss the range of career opportunities available in IT and technology. “Talent attraction and retention is a key area of focus for employers in Greater Des Moines,” said Marvin DeJear, senior vice president of talent development at the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “Our region’s utilization of Tallo and events like this one help educators, businesses and organizations showcase degree options and career paths available to help set students up for success.” The Zoom webinar is on Oct. 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. Learn more and register.
