Skate DSM has announced that the Grind for Life Series will take place at the Lauridsen Skatepark in Des Moines on May 13. The Grind for Life Series is a national skateboarding contest series that benefits the Grind for Life Organization, which helps cancer patients and their families with financial assistance for travel and lodging expenses. The event will feature a variety of categories, and interested skaters can register online. This is the first time the GFL Series will be held in Des Moines.
