GuideOne Insurance announced that Rob Huber has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, sales and field operations, effective today. In this role, Huber is responsible for leading GuideOne’s sales, marketing, field underwriting and product development strategies and functions. Huber joins GuideOne from CNA Financial Corp., where he was senior vice president and zone officer for the company’s 11-state southern zone. Before that, he held leadership roles with Ace USA and AIG, and also spent time as a retail producer with Wachovia Insurance Services and Sedgwick. GuideOne President and CEO Jessica Clark said Huber’s leadership and extensive industry experience will be critical for the company as it continues to execute its strategy. The West Des Moines-based insurer announced in the fall that it was exiting the personal lines business to focus on commercial lines, and has added small-business coverage nationally. “He and his team will have a significant impact on GuideOne reaching its profit and growth objectives,” Clark said in a release.
