GuideOne Insurance in West Des Moines announced that Chris Ward has been appointed as vice president of distribution management, effective May 28. In this role, Ward is responsible for driving and supporting attainment of GuideOne’s strategic plan through managing its independent agency, wholesaler and alternative distribution relationships. He will create and execute the overall distribution strategy for the organization, soliciting new partnerships while developing and managing key relationships. Ward was previously assistant vice president of sales and distribution for Chicago-based CNA Financial Corp. “Chris brings to us a great depth of commercial property and casualty insurance and distribution experience, along with proven leadership skills for our organization,” GuideOne President and CEO Jessica Clark said. “He’ll work closely with our regional vice presidents, sales directors, and our distribution partners to achieve strong business growth, especially in our small commercial segment.”
