Hardman said she expects to begin full time sometime in June at Broadlawns in her new position as chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer and vice president of human resources. Rob Dixon, president of the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, said he and the board are “grateful to both Broadlawns and Renee to give us some runway to the transition.” Dixon said the board has formed a CEO search committee and anticipates releasing a job description and opening an application period in the near future. Dixon said while the organization will “lose a formative leader who we all love and appreciate,” Broadlawns is “securing a tremendous asset.” Hardman, who has been a volunteer and involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters for nearly four decades, said she will continue to be involved with the organization.
