Heartland Express surpasses first-quarter earnings estimates
Zacks: Heartland Express reported first-quarter earnings of 21 cents per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 19 cents. This compares with earnings of 16 cents per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for nonrecurring items. Heartland, a trucking company based in North Liberty, posted revenues of $139.54 million for the quarter, down from $156.70 million a year ago.
