Central Iowa flooding has put a crimp in pre-Fourth of July fun at some state parks. Walnut Woods State Park in West Des Moines remained closed Monday morning as the staff assessed flood damage. Canyon Drive through the lower part of Ledges State Park near Boone is closed, though visitors may hike to the area. Equestrian trails are closed at Brushy Creek State Recreation Area near Fort Dodge. Read updates by park here.
