Home Inc., Des Moines’ oldest private nonprofit housing organization, will host its fifth annual Hunt for Housing event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at West End Architectural Salvage, 22 Ninth St. in Des Moines. The event will include client testimonials and a silent auction. Money raised from the event will support Home Inc.’s programs. Last year, over $100,000 was raised at the fundraiser. The money was used to help 62 families stay in their homes and move toward financial stability. This year, the organization hopes to build 16 new houses within an 18-month period.
