The board of directors of Homesteaders Life Co. today announced that the company’s president and CEO, Steve Lang, has been elected chairman of the board. He succeeds Graham Cook, who was chairman for 16 years and will continue serving as a member of the board. Lang joined the West Des Moines-based insurance company in 2008 as an executive vice president and was named chief operating officer before his election to the board in 2013.
