Luke Frieberg

Homesteaders Life Co. announced today that it has named Luke Frieberg as president of its new eFuneral Solutions subsidiary. Frieberg, who was part of an inaugural leadership development program with Principal Financial Group, most recently managed technology development to support Principal’s exclusive distributors. As president of eFuneral Solutions, he will be responsible for “creating and leading an organization charged with identifying and leveraging opportunities in the digital space that are complementary to Homesteaders’ commitment to customer success and promoting the value of funeral service,” the West Des Moines-based insurer said in a release. Frieberg is a former Drake University student-athlete with a bachelor’s degree in finance and management and an MBA with an emphasis in executive development. “We’re very pleased to have found someone with Luke’s capabilities, experience and accomplishments,” said Steve Lang, chairman, president and CEO of Homesteaders Life. “Luke is a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial individual who has demonstrated leadership skills that are well-suited to accomplish our goals for eFuneral Solutions.”
