Kim Reynold’s top workforce development initiatives, the Des Moines Register reported. House Study Bill 602 creates a volunteer mentoring program, a registered apprenticeship development program, a summer youth intern program and assorted scholarships and funds. The idea is to encourage Iowans to have training beyond high school, whether that is a certificate program, a two-year degree or a four-year degree.
