72 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and Development, Statewide NewsDes Moines Register: The metro area of Polk, Dallas, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison and Warren counties grew from 606,000 people in 2010 to 709,000 in 2020, a 17% jump, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That was the metro’s fastest growth since its boom began in the 1990s. No other major Midwestern metro grew so quickly in the most recent decade. The source of most of those new residents? Other parts of Iowa.
