Hubbell Realty Co. has launched a new homebuilding entity that focuses on build-on-your-lot, particularly in rural Iowa, the West Des Moines-based company announced.

Origin Homes is led by Matt Daniels, who has nearly 20 years of experience in residential construction.

“We believe there is room in the marketplace for build-on-your-lot — where the homebuyer provides the lot or land and our team preps, builds and closes,” a Hubbell spokesperson explained.

Construction crews will be available to travel to Iowa’s 99 counties to build new houses.

Origin Homes will offer 24 base plans from which customers can choose. Customers will be able to customize the plans, according to the news release. Prices of most houses will start around $330,000.

“We’re really looking forward to creating long-term relationships with local contractors, trade partners and city jurisdictions throughout the rural areas where we’re building,” Daniels said in a prepared statement.
