Hubbell’s Tollakson inducted into ISU department’s hall of fame

135 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentRick Tollakson, president and CEO of Hubbell Realty Co., has been inducted into Iowa State University’s Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Hall of Fame, the school announced. Tollakson graduated from ISU in 1976 and received his master’s degree from the University of Iowa in 1982. Tollakson leads the Hubbell Extreme Build series that has completed five major projects over 15 years, helping thousands of Iowans through various builds for families in need and for nonprofit organizations. He is a board member of the Iowa Confluence (ICON) Water Trails Project, the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and the Association of Business and Industry (ABI). Tollakson was inducted to the Iowa Business Hall of Fame in 2023. Also inducted into the Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering Hall of Fame was James Hoover, who had a 38-year career as an ISU professor.
