Hudson’s wife, Kelsey Underwood, also is a teacher in the community. They have three school-age children. “West Des Moines, specifically Ward 2, has been my life for nearly 14 years,” Hudson said. “It’s where we chose to build our lives, raise our children and teach history. I love this community, and I want to be a thoughtful, engaged City Council member who will make our city’s future even brighter.” Hudson plans include reducing property taxes, promoting affordable housing and supporting small businesses.
