Hugh Ekberg

CRST International Inc., one of the U.S.’s largest privately held transportation companies and headquartered in Cedar Rapids, has named Hugh Ekberg as group president and chief operating officer. Ekberg brings over 25 years of business leadership to the CRST family of companies. Prior to joining CRST, he was president of Kitchen & Bath Americas for Kohler Co., and before that he was division president and a board member at Weitz Co. of Des Moines. Ekberg holds a Master of Science degree in engineering management and an MBA in marketing and organizational design, both from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “Hugh’s wide-ranging experience in multiple industry verticals fits nicely with the needs of our diversified operations,” said Dave Rusch, president and CEO of CRST.
