Hy-Vee acquires naming rights to GrimesPlex

144 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and CultureThe city of Grimes announced today that Hy-Vee has signed a five-year naming rights agreement for the GrimesPlex. The 50-acre multisport turf complex will now be known as the Hy-Vee MultiPlex Powered by the City of Grimes, according to a news release. “At Hy-Vee, we promote health and wellness, and support active lifestyles for people of all ages, and this sports complex reflects those values,” said Hy-Vee Vice President of Sports Marketing Matt Nickell in a prepared statement. The naming rights agreement includes an option for Hy-Vee to renew it for five more years, the release said. The Hy-Vee MultiPlex has had 2.1 million visitors since opening last fall and has hosted several state and regional youth sports tournaments. Development underway around the complex includes a Tru by Hilton hotel, a 400-unit luxury townhome and apartment complex and an 18,000-square-foot retail center.
