The Iowa Association for Justice collected donations from trial attorneys across the state in 2022 and contributed over $16,000 to Dementia Friendly Iowa as part of its Justice in Deed initiative. IAJ members and staff also participated in a 5K Run to Remember event. Dementia Friendly Iowa is an initiative aimed at promoting education and change in communities to create a welcoming environment for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The program is fully funded by grants and donations. IAJ has previously partnered with other organizations through its Justice in Deed initiative, which links trial lawyers with community service organizations in need.
