IASB board removes Grimley as president-elect
The board of directors of the Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) on Thursday voted 11-2 to remove Lee Ann Grimley of Springville as president-elect of the organization. Grimley, who was first elected to the IASB board in 2003, would have started a two-year term as president in January 2012. In April, the association hired retiring Southeast Polk superintendent Tom Downs as its new executive director. Downs starts on July 1.
