West Des Moines-based Icon Labs Inc., a provider of embedded networking and security technology, announced yesterday that it has been recognized by a national publication. EDN, an online electronics news website, has named Icon’s Floodgate-Packet Filter as one of its “100 Hot Products of 2011.” The Floodgate product is a firewall for devices connected to the Internet to protect from potentially harmful external attacks.
