Des Moines-based entrepreneur and CPA Ying Sa has published her first book, “Appointment with Ying @ 8am: Starting up a Business.” The book highlights Sa’s journey as an immigrant who started her own business in Iowa. Born in China and having immigrated to Canada as a child, Sa came to the United States in 1996. Shortly after moving to Des Moines she became known in the community for helping immigrants and minority business owners with tax and business issues, which evolved into starting her own CPA firm. She was named a Woman of Influence by the Business Record in 2010. The book is the first in a four-book series that will follow the life cycle of a business — 10 a.m. is about developing, 2 p.m. is about expanding and 6 p.m. is about sun-setting and retiring from business.
