Inclusion Award nominations are now open
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 Inclusion Award, the Greater Des Moines Partnership announced. The award, in its ninth year, honors and celebrates the successes of organizations that have championed diversity, equity and inclusion in their businesses, organizations and community. “The work of DEI is difficult and requires intentionality. While we are all in this journey we want to recognize organizations that are intentionally investing time and resources to create meaningful change,” Sanjita Pradhan, director of diversity and inclusion at the Partnership, said in a news release. This year’s Inclusion Award application has been adapted to evaluate the responses organizations have had to the Black Lives Matter movement and violence toward Asian communities to demonstrate their commitment to DEI, as well as their overall response to the events of the past year, and their support to the larger community. To qualify for an Inclusion Award, organizations must be a regional member or investor in the Partnership. The awards will be presented at the ninth annual Inclusion Summit in November.
