The West Des Moines City Council this week approved the first reading of an ordinance to rezone 6.4 acres at 340 Jordan Creek Parkway to allow for the construction of an indoor entertainment center that would be operated by Bowl New England, based in Vermont. The facility would include bowling, laser tag, billiards and a restaurant and bar. The parcel, located south of Slumberland, is currently zoned support commercial. A change in zoning to regional commercial would allow the entertainment facility to be constructed. The council is expected to approve the second reading of the ordinance this month and waive the third reading.
