Six female entrepreneurs from across Iowa will have a chance this Thursday to pitch their business plans and needs to several investors at Iowa Women Lead Change’s annual Invest In She event.

Last week, IWLC announced the six entrepreneurs who will participate in the second annual event. This year’s Invest in She contestants are:

• Adore Your Walls – Liz Lidgett.
• Burst Cycle – Stacie Shannon.
• Flaggers National Traffic Control Systems – Denise Fenwick Beavers.
• Kittd – Maria Sanchez – Masi and Kristi VanGorkom.
• Take the Cake Cupcakes/Ashton Hill Farm & Vineyard – Megan Knatz.
• UpCraft Club – Elizabeth Caven.

During the event, each of these entrepreneurs will give a live pitch about her respective business and its needs to a panel of local investors. This year’s investors have committed to invest up to $40,000 in these women and their businesses.

Members of the public can also purchase tickets to the event as investors will share what it takes to start a successful business in today’s economy.
