Iowa ag secretary asks Biden administration to back effort to curb ‘dead zone’ in gulf
Radio Iowa: A 12-state group working to reduce the size of the “dead zone” in the Gulf of Mexico is asking for support from the Biden administration. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig is co-chair of the Hypoxia Task Force, which aims to cut nutrient runoff in the Mississippi River basin. Naig said the group recently sent a letter requesting support from President Joe Biden and his administration.
