Iowa Workforce Development has launched its new Business Engagement Division, a part of the state agency’s move to reorganize employees around the state to create more efficiencies in assessing and resolving Iowa employers’ workforce challenges. As part of the launch of the division, the agency will be reaching out to Iowa employers. Over the next 100 days, the agency’s leadership and members of the new division will visit Iowa employers to share information about available resources and provide specific points of contact for assisting with workforce needs. The division’s administrator is Tim Goodwin and its deputy administrator is Kathy Anderson. “Iowa has many workforce tools to help with different challenges employers face,” Beth Townsend, the state agency’s director, said in a prepared statement. “It can be difficult for businesses to navigate the available resources in the state, so we have created a one-stop shop to provide concierge service to them, regardless of where the programs are housed.” For more information or to sign up for a visit, click here.
