Iowa Area Development Group wins national USDA award
Iowa Area Development Group has received the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Abraham Lincoln Honor Award for its work to promote economic development. The group, as the marketing and business development office for nearly 250 rural utilities in Iowa, has worked on more than 200 projects in Iowa that received a combined $82 million in USDA aid. The projects attracted $635 million in capital investment, created 15,000 rural jobs and started nearly 50 revolving loan funds for rural businesses and organizations. Read more
