Iowa Bankers Association announces 2024-25 board leadership

153 wordsAll Latest News, Banking and FinanceThe Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) recently elected its 2024-25 board of directors, who assumed their roles during the IBA Annual Convention, held Sept. 15-17. Jim Plagge, president and CEO of Bank Iowa, will chair the IBA’s board of directors, taking over from Mary Kay Bates of Bank Midwest, who will serve as past board chair. Other members of the IBA executive committee are Abram Tubbs of Ohnward Bancshares serving as chair-elect and Melissa Ballard of First Iowa State Bank serving as treasurer. John Sorensen, IBA president and CEO, will continue to serve as secretary until his retirement when incoming president and CEO Adam Gregg will assume the role. The IBA executive committee leads the board of directors, which is responsible for setting policy and overseeing the general operation of the IBA.
