With 392 member banks, the IBA represents 93 percent of Iowa’s banking institutions.

Jim Schipper, president and CEO of American State Bank in Osceola, will become chairman of the board.

Tom Stanberry, chairman and CEO of West Bank in West Des Moines, will serve as chairman-elect.

Roger Claypool, chairman, president and CEO of Shelby County State Bank in Harlan, will serve the first year of his two-year term as the board’s treasurer.

Dan Krieger, chairman and president of Ames National Corp., becomes past-chairman of the IBA as his term as chairman concludes.

John Sorensen, president and CEO of the Iowa Bankers Association, will continue his role as secretary of the executive committee.
