The bill passed the Senate 44-4 and passed the House unanimously, 96-0, over the weekend. It changes Iowa Code to allow bars to sell alcoholic beverages, mixed drinks and cocktails for carry-out and delivery, something that was only temporarily permitted under Gov. Kim Reynolds’s COVID-19 orders. Reynolds hasn’t yet signed the bill, which would go into effect immediately.
