Iowa City’s Public Works Facility (pictured below) was recently named as a 2022 Top Ten U.S. architecture project by Dezeen, a London-based online architecture, interiors and design magazine. Dezeen is one of the world’s most influential design magazines, with over 3 million monthly readers. The recognition adds to the national attention the Iowa City Public Works Facility has received. In 2022, the project was honored by the American Institute of Architects with the prestigious Committee on the Environment award as a COTE Top Ten Award winner. The COTE Top Ten award is given to 10 innovative U.S. projects that integrate design excellence with environmental performance. In 2021 the American Public Works Association named the Iowa City Public Works Facility as the U.S. Project of the Year.
