Several Iowa companies are among the best workplaces for LGBTQ+ equality, according to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index. The index is a national benchmarking tool on LGBTQ+ equality, and according to a news release, companies must provide LGBTQ+ employees with workplace protections, equal benefits and support, and an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility. Alphonso David, Human Rights Campaign president, said that along with the coronavirus pandemic and the racial justice movement in 2020, “many businesses across the nation stepped up and continued to prioritize and champion LGBTQ equality.”
