Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, ISU receive NEH grants

The National Endowment for the Humanities on Monday announced $40.3 million in new CARES Act economic stabilization grants to support essential operations at more than 300 cultural institutions across the country. As part of these grants, the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs received $465,700 that will be available through subawards to eligible Iowa humanities and cultural organizations for humanities projects and programming and related general operating support. Additionally, Iowa State University received a grant of $290,224, which will be used for continuing employment of nine faculty members in English, history and foreign languages to develop online course materials and teach humanities classes.
