Kelly Sharp, owner of Heart of Iowa Marketplace, is a small business owner with an entrepreneurial spirit. Her small storefront specializes in corporate gifts, thank you gifts and branding promotions produced for some of Des Moines’ top businesses. 

 

Where she’s been

Sharp spent 12 years working at Hubbell Realty Co., initially as marketing director, then vice president of marketing, then vice president of retail operations. Prior to working at Hubbell, Sharp worked in marketing roles at Sleepy Hollow Sports Park and Taylor Ball Construction Finally, Sharp is also a blogger on the Business Record’s specialty website, IowaBiz.com.

Sharp has served on the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and the Drake University Leadership Program. She is a graduate of Upper Iowa University and East High School in Des Moines.
